    Immigrants with a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) can get the new Massachusetts Child and Family Tax Credit for eligible household members who have an SSN, ITIN, or new Massachusetts Alternative Taxpayer Identification Number.     Most immigrants who had an ITIN by April 19, 2022 were eligible to get the 2021 COVID stimulus and Child Tax Credit payments for their children with SSNs.
